After many months in the planning, the CATCH crew can finally relax after an extremely successful day of hosting a River & Wildlife day at the local recreation ground. The weather started wet but soon cheered up and enabled us to have a fantastic time!

With the support of so many individuals giving up their time to stand by CATCH and support us so magnificently on the day, and they were:

The Bootmakers (of Wincanton) – Recycled materials art workshop

Jonathon Astill – Walking tree classroom
Treasure Hunt – Simon Wiltshire of CATCH
Cale Cafe
CATCH – Kick sampling demonstration by Janice Blackwell

The day was such a success that by the end of the day there had been over 250 families and individuals pass through the recreation ground.

As a group we are very proud of the fact that we have potentially educated more people about how important the river is to our town’s ecological success.
